To whom it may concern,
Tony Grima was contracted, to support the Rio Tinto Aluminium Plant Information Systems Team, from Feb 2006 to May 2007. Initially the term of Tony's contract was for 3 months, but we extended the contract twice over this period.

Tony provided analytical tools on top of the OSISoft PI System, for each of our three Smelting Sites. Most of the work that Tony did during this time was with OSISoft's PI System, VB6, VB.NET and SQL Server.

During that time Tony demonstrated a capacity to learn about the PI system quickly. Tony is a very organised, committed person with a definite focus on quality. The user experience is as important to Tony, as is the final solution. Tony was the most committed contractor we have employed recently, as demonstrated by his agreement to the extension of his contract.

Tony also played an important role in the team, many of whom were geographically dispersed. He developed good working relationships, mostly with people he has never met. He also developed a good understanding of the aluminium smelting process, even though he has never seen a smelter.

Tony made valuable contributions to our continuous improvement processes. He was not afraid to make suggestions that would improve our quality, cycle time and cost.

Safety is a big part of the way we work at Rio Tinto Aluminium. Tony was an active participant. He was a member of a team that facilitated our "Driver Safety Training programme".

I found Tony to be honest, organised, diligent, polite, very comfortable with technology and a pleasure to work with.

I would be willing to reemploy Tony, or recommend him to any future employer.

Please feel free to contact me for further information.

Yours faithfully,

Chris Noonan
